We’ve examined all the documents and all the steps that we should do before mobility and during the mobility abroad.
What is going to happen then when our students are back in their own country? Which is the value of the mobility abroad as a part of a great life experience?
The answers according to ECVET language are: Validation and Recognition.
Let’s start to understand what is the Validation:
- WHAT: it is the process where the proofs of evidences collected during the mobility are taking under consideration. It is needed to understand if the Learning Outcomes have been achieved during the mobility.
- WHO: this is one of the biggest dark hole of the ECVET procedure. There is a specific person/organization/body that can do this. Ideally, the school who received back the students should be able to do that and validate the documents. There is no proper rule at the moment.
- WHEN: after the mobility;
- WHERE: in the home country the proof of evidence must be analyzed in depth in order to understand if any of the Learning Outcomes asset in the MoU has been achieved according to the activities done during mobility;
- WHY: easy peasy. Why we should have done all these documents and work beforehand if nobody is going to verify if we achieved our aims?
So it is a natural step that must be done in order to complete the procedure.
