Rimini is not only the city of beaches and great fun.
Here’s a list of 5 things you should know about the Emilia-Romagna city:

1) Not only Riviera.

Ok, you had a ball dancing in the most famous disco, where you also had the chance to show your enviably tanned body. But feeding the mind is important too; so take advantage of a quiet day and go for a walk around the city: from Piazza Cavour to Piazza Three Martyrs up to the Tiberius Bridge, there are many beautiful places to see.
And once you are back in your Country you can amaze your friends with your impressive collection of pictures.

2) Free beach? Yes, you can!

In Rimini, the cool types rent a beach lounger in the many beachfront resorts of the coast. If you do not have a lifeguard at your disposal to fall in love with, you may be considered a nerd (and stingy and antisocial too).

But if you worship Jack Sparrow and you belong to the nurtured and fascinating army of free spirits, take your umbrella and head to the first beach: the sea is beautiful there too.

3) The ominous Garbino

Did you burn the clutch? It’s Garbino’s fault. Is the bus late? It’s Garbino again. The ATM does not work? Damn Garbino!

When something goes wrong in Rimini, the culprit is always this spiteful wind, blowing more frequently in the autumn months.

Now you know: if you want to integrate with the people of Rimini, when a mishap occurs, leave the fate out and blame Garbino.

Moreover, Bob Dylan sang: “The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.”

4) Fellini, who is he?

Ok, you like blockbusters and you’ve never seen a movie made before 1995.

But in Rimini, Federico Fellini, the great director and winner of 5 Oscars, it is like the rain in London and the Beatles in Liverpool: an institution.

So, if you want to impress everybody, go on Youtube and watch at least one of the director’s masterpieces. Enjoy the show!

5) Piadina

So you want me to believe you have never eaten a piadina, the typical and tasty Rimini dish?
No fear! If you can not find Piadina, Piadina will surely find you.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner do not make any difference: the important thing is to eat it with squacquerone, the creamy and fresh cheese typical of the Emilia Romagna region.
